I walk among your shadows
and feel the weight of loss
with the chains of eternity
that now bind you all
to the history of Port Arthur
Souls of the past
now comfort you in their sleepless world
as we forever mourn your loss
fifteen years have past
and the wind still calls your names
let the wind take our prayers to you
and let not the memories fade and drift
from our hearts

15 years ago since the Port Arthur massacre. Killing 35 innocent people, including children. May Martin Bryant find no rest in jail or hell.

One hopes that by remembering the bad of the past one might prevent the event reoccurring. But yes some times we are better to forget (for a while anyway). Thanks Jack. dAVE

Pete it is/was a terrible time in the history of Tasmania/Australia. Although it made world news at the time, Many many horrors have over lapped it since. Thank you for your comments . dAVE
