A Conversation With Jesus

Crystalline rivulets stain the ground
through her tears, she bleeds, profound
and in this place of her disgrace
she falls in repentance, on her face

This broken woman cries,
as she fights against the lies
pouring out her every fear
to the God whose ears will hear

She is undignified, at best
her shattered heart begging for rest
to Him she comes, and sits at his feet
asking if it's possible to live without defeat

"Take my yoke, little one
and let me dry the tears that run"
strong hands cup her pale face
"Let Me plead your case."

Overwhelmed in her despair
she cries out, "Why should You care?"
gently, and quietly, Jesus, holds her tight
and whispers softly, "It's my wish to win this fight."

Clutching at His white robes, she lets her tears run dry
He whispers again, "beloved, with Me, you can fly."
The time is now, My little one,
and My will cannot be undone"

"But Lord!", she cries "Look at me!,
unfit, and unbeautiful is what they see!"
He smiles, as He takes her hand
and says, "Be still, beloved, and know that I Am."
