Sumi-e *

Strong, sure strokes align
foliage rising by design;
joy accordingly.



* Sumi-e is the creation of a painting using black ink on paper.
The traditional technique emphasizes an economy of brush strokes.

    It's sprinkling here, with fairly tolerable temperatures this week.

    A film on PBS introduced me to sumi-e... I've always loved minimalist oriental art but had no idea of it's value as a pathway to inner peace.
