i can't say that i was a fan....in fact that song " i will always love you " used to drive me nuts. or that i was surprised at her death. but anybody dying at 48 is a tragedy - paora.

What girl who loves music didn't wish to be able to sing like the beautiful Ms Houston...I loved her singing and am quite devastated by her passing - but for one moment in time she had it all...such a pathetic and tragic waste..Smile-Phoebe

I’m not into that side of the record country is my forte. But you might say, “She did it her way”…nice little tribute. Have a grand tomorrow…Jack

~Phoebe~ ... I read this yesterday... I am in awe how this sparks negativity from comments and ratings. Then comments on other sites like yahoo are a whole less kind than the ones here.

I am one of those men that the pure beauty of a singing voice springs tears from the soul's well. It is a shame others have chosen not to hear the voice of Whitney and remembered how they felt. She had the voice that made me feel she was singing to me instead of singing for me. I will never stop loving her as I did not while she was with us. I always hoped she would change her life like Mary J. did with a comeback that would have rocked our world and we could have been happy for her as we was then in her younger recording life.

Some thing are not meant to happen and at these times it makes me sad for the lose. Whitney your voice will live on... BWP...

You have great compassion and wisdom James - like you I cry openy at a beautiful piece of music or the magic of a magnificent voice like Whitney's.
I wished and hoped she would change too - and she tried, she really did. It's easy to get hooked into the blaming game as to why such tragedies happen but at the end of the day it comes down to the strengths and weakenesses of those who make personal choices - there will always be people to support those choices and people who lose from those choices - bit of a vicious cycle really...Heaven is the richer for that beautiful voice now - but we have our memories and her music..Thanks..Smile-Phoebe

I can so relate to this Phoebe, I grew up with Whitney's music and crackled her exhilarating vinyl upon many occasion into the early hours. Such a tragic loss of such a natural talent. She will indeed be missed. Fond Regards. Mark.
