Old Twist of New

by manofyhwh

Love may be a gamble but is definitely not what I'd call a GAME.
Women think they have a monopoly but men feel love just the SAME.
both sexes try to find and hold onto what most are searching for with MIGHT
Nothing is ever easy; there shall ensue both arguments and FIGHTS
All are just steps in the journey to get the love road's path RIGHT
Some at in awe as to why their love is lost or WANDERS
There is plenty of pressure that both sexes are UNDER.
Letting go of the need to always be RIGHT
is one sure way not to win what would be a FIGHT
Nobody is perfect; Of Him there was but ONE
We must keep our eye on the prize until the battle is WON
I may not be the best poet but I do the best I CAN
That is one of the greatest parts of being a MAN
I know my shortcoming and avoid me best from going ASTRAY.
I know in my heart I will rest in the arms of my Master one DAY
For the right woman through Hell I'll gladly go THROUGH
I take my lessons from the Bible; How about YOU?
When I started this poem it had a definite journey to MAKE
but I let my mind run free and let it lead where it MAY
Like all things this must come to an ending whether good or BAD
I hope I have made a smile appear upon your face instead of making you SAD.
I shall endeavor to take what come and not fuss or GRUMBLE.
I shall always try to remain; Terry the HUMBLE
