my velvet tongue danced split

my lizard eyes burst
crimson and black
hung up strung
in vicious attack
swimming in bile
acetic and bleak
i looked like marshmallow
until you discovered
that i was teak.

my velvet tongue danced split
pink and red
wrapping you in comfort
of all left unsaid
swollen and mute
until you discovered
that it just bit off your head.

my voice whisperscreamed
monotone in grey
shorn shanked
in benevolent displays
until you discovered
it sliced you enslaved.

my lizard eyes burst
crimson and black
hung up strung
in vicious attack
swimming in bile
acetic and bleak
i looked like marshmallow
until you discovered
that i was teak.

unmoved unimpressed disinterested
until i would speak
