Another one for the ages.

In this games just like our lives,
sometimes winning seems elusive,
and today we come to realize,
how to get there is inconclusive.

Something special, unique, raw and unscripted,
what so many came together hoping to witness.
When is over many are sad but none dissapointed,
anything could happen at a high level of fitness.

An ovation stirr, with so many cheers,
people standing up on ledges.
Emotions are high, many almost in tears.
It's another one for the ages!

It all came together like a miracle,
every move just like poetry in motion.
The effort put forth, a great spectacle,
so is no surprise all the fan devotion.

Though not the best before this day,
their actions show they came prepared,
well trained and coached ready to play,
will not be stopped they're not scared.

No doubt a beauty indeed,
will make all of the front pages.
It's become almost a creed,
It's another one for the ages!

Talk the talk, walk the walk.
Get your feet wet, jump right in.
Conquer it now, it may not be back.
Gather strength from deep within.

A performance that brought them to their feet,
look at all the smiling faces.
Coming from behind, such tremendous feat,
It's another one for the ages!

Something so surreal is not often seen
in the greatest of stages.
What a way to feed such a will to win,
It's another one for the ages!
