Before we heal the Earth
We need to mend our own illness
That stops us seeing past the color of our hands
And the sound of our voices
As sure as water runs in all rivers
Blood runs in all our veins
Equally
The ones that can help
Are the ones we push aside for progress
The land screams Mercy
And the wise speak loudly
Only to be silenced
By greed and false hatred
So before we mend this Earth
We need to mend our own illness
Fix what our monochrome eyes see
And become one tribe of equality once more

Great poem which provides insight into discrimination. It is really a curse upon mankind. This poem asks one to introspect and it is one of the best ways to 'mend our own illness'. Thank you for sharing this poem.
