Feelings of Spring

Green slips out from under a blanket of white
spring reflected left and right
In the nearby field a ewe gives up her lamb
just remember I will never give up on you

Buds uncurl and a rainbow of blooms cascade down
some look like a smile, others like a frown
The only blossom I care about is that of my love for you
a flower of love that will bloom forever and never turn to blue

Children’s voices, mix with the birdsong
spring is here, the winter long gone
The only sound I need to hear belongs to you
echoing in my head every waking moment and everything I do

When the cherry blossom turns to bright painted leaves
and a cacophony of colour, is adorning all our trees
Spring is here at last, with summer coming to
Who will I spend the autumn of my life with?, my darling that is you.........
