Grieving

by doris

A deep quiet fills the space
where my mother's heart
once resided.

My daughter touches my skirts
and I am brought back to earth.

The couplet at the end almost represents her.
This is full of quiet strength

Thank you, wylde, for reading and taking the time to comment. I came back to this poem and I realize that it could be read two different ways. I like that accident.

doris - agreed. and most accidents are either subliminal intents, or to do with cosmic karmic marbles bumping in the milky whey!

dear Doris

i am enjoying the shared grief in the poem
that only the feminine consciousness
knows so well.

the ethereal presence of the here and now
is a special gift

a warm smile
