All The Best

You’ve tightly closed the shutters
against the truth of day.
the doors have all slammed shut
as you walk the other way.
You do not need your ears
for you do not hear at all,
you do not need your heart
you left it in the hall.
Your feet only want to run
in fear or maybe hate,
makes me wonder why
I’ve bothered as of late
to try to reach beyond the screen
that shelters all your pain,
and find a way to get back in
find protection from the rain.
But you chose to shut me out
along with all the rest
so all I can do my friend,
is wish you all the best.

Excellent write, Zbird. The rhyming flow was great. I enjoyed reading it. A 10 for sure.
