Night and Day.

Unrecognizable silhouettes, noises I am not familiar with.
Allien life forms lurking in, large enough to grab me with their teeth.

More unsure with every step, if this is the direction I should take.
Withering touch of confidence, believing that everything's at stake.

Eclecticism now sets in, not taking chances to stay safe.
Unaware that absence of light causes shadows to misbehave.

Some time now has passed me by, realized there is no reason to fear.
All that has been are mind tricks, that have been allowed to interfere.

Sun's shining down and though it burns, enables reason to float on.
The view's the same but not the thoughts, valor renewed the danger's gone.

The picture's clear soon after dawn, when nothing seems to fade away.
Clearer is now I've been a fool, deceived by night, redeemed by day.
