Poems - Artistic Realms
| | Artistic Realmsby FuchsiaFestival!
Vauxcelles, wise man he was.
Works classified as "cubes"
were snippets of society, known for
masquerading traditional thought
with not-so-obvious emphasis.
Artists are not always meant to
express common medley;
sometimes, their primary focus is
analyzing structure with a
thematic approach--embedded
in the risky skull of the Paul
Cezanne-reincarnate.
I always thought of innovation
as turning feathers into cubes
for birds to know the meaning
of carrying impressionistic wings.

I mentioned, briefly before, that I really enjoyed this. I think your final stanza is very powerful, and the idea of turing feathers into cubes is how I feel about much of your writing. You don't take the easy way, and you constantly transform the world from the way I/we see it into the intricate and complex structures of your own imagination, and then you set them free...

Thank you for this really beautiful comment. This is one I am pretty satisfied with, yet I put it in the workshops just to make sure. I do think the transformation of ideas by the usage of intricacy is a highly resourceful technique.

Ummm, now your muse pursues magic, mind expanding marvels so sweetly nourishing to the soul. Within or without the obvious, you've entered a realm of pure satisfaction in sensations built bold.
Love your poem, feathers included! - Mary Ann

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Cubism is wonderful. You're right, Paul Cezanne was also brilliant.
