Do You See Me?

I walk into a room
Looking for a familiar face
Finally I see one, It's you
You don't recognize me
You turn away
Not welcoming my embrace

I see a group of friends
They're chatting up each other
I try to be apart of the conversation
They stop talking, stare at me, glare
I suddenly feel uncomfortable
Ashamed of the idea
I get up and walk away

I sit alone by myself
Thinking about my day
I'm torn to pieces, so filled with sorrow
Can't live like this, must find another way
I see people I know, thinking they might stop by
I fear they won't I know they won't
No one cares when I cry, I don't let them see

I am sitting by you
Describing my day, and all that happened
You smile, You listen, Your empathetic
Even though your not real
I still want to sit by you
