Will we make it through?

Injustice is everywhere you look,
how to avoid it is not something that I know.
What you gave is not all that they took,
all I see I dislike, can't go with the flow.

God please grant me a wish,
do me a favor and do as you please.
Every day lay out a new dish,
until all hunger for knowledge will cease.

What are we doing? We're still bound by chains.
Slaves to our wills, not at all what we wanted.
Thoughts of grandeur run through our brains.
Where's the light? Wishes that were never granted.

We don't understand the simplest thoughts,
the basic principles of human beings.
How did we give up on our souls?
By giving up on the smaller things.

Stuck in traffic in the spiritual world,
our souls regretting what we're made of.
Like trapped against a wall facing a sword,
we missed appointments to the school of love.

Road to nowhere that we've built,
we keep going without turning lanes,
stop a while, just for a little bit,
look around, not just ahead into the plains.

Can't tell anyone to be prepared,
no way to get ready for what's comming.
Just need to know but don't be scared,
you could sense what the wind is blowing.

The only mystery in our life,
is that we just can't figure out,
how to live it without strife,
what we are and what we're not.

It is obvious we're not staying,
keep on moving don't stand around,
patch up feuds, we should be praying,
keep on going 'till a hope is found.

Long is the shadow of failure,
though longer 's the road to nowhere.
It is not the same now and later,
obstacles won't move with a stare.
