About Him

Quiet
Smooth
Never a wrong move
Never seen him hiccup
or sneeze
or with dirt on his knees
A prince who walks with the bulls
tipping the tips of their horns
Picks roses without catchng on thorns
If you have ever seen him cry
You'd have to give your eyes
to the gods
Who'd let you see within him
his strength
courage
and sense of right
You'd see the Big things that give him fright
injustice
sloth
and pettiness
The gods would use your eyes through the night
To show you this man
Show you his plight
He walks knowing right from wrong
But who can dance the quiet song
No sound
So smooth
You can't make a wrong move
In the dance of the quiet man
The gods shut your eyes for you
lay them on a side table
the man who was before you
lives on as in a fable
When he trips it causes an earthquake
That trembles the world wide
When he hiccups an avalanche
A sneeze though a most delightful breeze
Golddust on his knees.
The bulls walk with him and in power
call him kin
The roses perserve his blod
So squeeze your eyes tighter
He's more real when he's brighter
The roses still grow out of the mud.

what a lovely and intriguing poem! so many wonderful images! I particularly love these lines
