You think you got away. (with murder).

Time of war, very difficult time,
many did what they thought was their right.
Infamous leader you've crossed the line,
victimizing those who could not fight.

In the name of science trusted evil instincts,
cowardly hiding behind a thick wall.
Feeling joy in torturing all of your victims,
viciously enjoyed seeing their morale fall.

You think you got away... (with murder).
But soon will come the day... (you suffer).
Don't think that you won't pay... (it's over).

You managed to escape just in time and unharmed,
for the time being you think you have made it.
In disguise now you hide in a foreign land,
but your doom will be here with your judgement.

You cut short so many innocent lives,
your hands will remain tainted with their blood.
Yet you try to cover it up with some lies,
how can you live with the pain they withstood.

You think you got away... (with murder).
But soon will come the day... (you suffer).
Don't think that you won't pay... (it's over).

Ummm, I really felt the intensity of this piece; in my mind like a heartbeat carried by the bass. Your chorus has such wonderful possibilities available to it, like an answer in a whisper. Of course I would love to listen to it performed... your version, not just the one in my head. Really well done - creatively different. Thanks so much for sharing it here, Mary Ann
