The Moon Marks My Words

Self-reflection quilted in quietude,
a peaceful breath's entrancing twilight.
Souls are parasites of cosmic magnitude
the unfurling seas' foretold tales.

Thrill will turn somberness into altitude
when moonlight waves a shadow as a flag.
The wisp of starlight forever tattooed
in the emission of elaborate tales.

The moon marks my words, my sigh;
saggy jeans will never confiscate my love
for the soothing lilt's vestigial high,
the measure of proverbial tales.
