The Vampire Crypt Of Erie, Pa

by wolfinwindow

People were found drained of blood
around the cemetary between 26th and 19th
in Erie, Pa in the late eighteen hundreds.
Those drained had the marks of vampire teeth.

The crypt is unusually strange.
There are no names of the dead.
It's blackened as if it was burned.
Someone set it on fire out of dread.

They marked it with a V for vampire
to for warn and passers by.
They barred it and chained it
as if afraid they would die.

After some years passed, people became curious
about what was really inside.
So, some teen age boy got tools
and with a crow bar he pried.

He ventured inside like a fool
and found one rotted man in the crypt.
He desecrated the dead and took a ring.
What happened next shouldn't be in the script!

Oh! His mother found him dead in bed,
a scared look on his face.
His ring finger and the ring were gone
they never found a trace.

The coroner said heart attack,
but we all know the story.
That was a vampire's ring he stole
and he wanted back his glory.

The crypt remains charred and sealed
in the Erie cemetary there.
All I have to say to you
is don't go near, just beware.
