September.

A grey sky hangs silently
A gentle breeze is hardly felt
September sits politely
In between scorching summer
And winter’s snow melt.
Keep meaning to gather some conkers
Another lost tradition I like to do
No Indian summer this year
Although the skies are blue.
It’s not cold,
But will be cold some weeks later
September is a transition
That is all,
In another month it will be cooler
And leaves from trees will begin to fall.
