I look to the written word
In all its many guises
Its various shapes and sizes
Moods serious or absurd

I find within its reasons
Whatever those may be
On view for all to see
A write for all the seasons

I lose myself each time
In long or short term history
In every kind of mystery
In epics, facts, or rhyme

Poetically a fighter
Using what words show me
Experiences life throws me
To master as a writer
