No more wild things (RIP Maurice Sendak)

Max can sleep now
his supper was still hot.
No fear of getting eaten
by things that loved him lots.

The brush, and pen lie still now
no more will they paint a dream.
But the young will keep on reading
While the author sleeps in peace.
