Autumn

Days are getting shorter now
A chill invades the air.
Skies turn grey rejecting blue
Clouds tossed here and there
Sea breeze cracks her icy whip
The waves rise up and foam
A seagull rides the winds on high
Migrating birds fly home
Trees shake leaves to forest floor
Colours cascading down
I watch the Summer slowly change
Into her Autumn gown

I'm always drawn to a seasonal title as you know. And I wasn't let down with this little gem Phoebe. Being on top of the world I always find it hard to imagine having winter in the summer. And summer in the winter....Sounds daft but how do we know who is on the top? Who painted the globe? The whole thing might be upside down. Sorry in a silly thinking mood lol.

Your poem flows beutifully Phoebe and your rhyme is great.
What I love about autumn is field mushrooms, the settled weather, and the bounty of ripened fruit and of course the observations that you have noted.
