Useful Prose

If you can tell yourself you don’t mind busted knuckles,
the strain of torque, and grease all over your arms
you will be a better mechanic

If you can convence yourself into believing
Life is still good after they are gone
It will help you get up for work on Monday
And buy you enough time to prove its truth

If you can deceive yourself enough to vote for a warring party
and that all Muslims are radicals out to destroy your interest
you have a serious problem and need help

Self-deception works… it is just hard to turn off

You always write on such interesting and thought provoking issues, hmmm....self deception, " the deceiving of the self. You're right , it is hard to turn off because it allows us to create something for ourselves that we actually believe. I guess in a way it's a survival thing.. Very Happy
