He Can't Do It Alone

by rondo

He Can’t Do It Alone

Barrack Obama needs some help from those with stable minds
Tea Party traitors tie his hands and keep us in a bind
The Koch brothers bought some thugs
That act like their on crack or drugs
Tax breaks for the rich in a long recession
Is an idiotic logic that gives working folks depression

I understand no new taxes! but lets restore the old ones
He needs some help from the masses so his position is emboldened
It is clear he has the will to help us but racist pin him down
With rhetoric and bullshit when no truth to it is found

There is enough conscientious people… patriots in fact
Who see the ploy that they enjoy and in the polls react
Just one more term with a congress firm unsaturated with millionaire shills
And give these special interest freaks a taste of their own pills

I’m calling out the level headed
To end this stalemate so long dreaded
Aren’t you tired of bitch and whine
And all the excuses that congress finds

When the banks needed bail
And the auto industry failed
All the republicans did was moan and wail
And swear that he did nothing right
At every turn they gave him fight

But if we give him some support
And cut the Tea party short
Showing with our voting a loud and clear retort

Fuck your “lame duck” we want to get shit done
Congress can’t keep dragging feet while he’s the only one
It is not incompetence but a concerted event
That keeps the senate obstructionist bent
The senate keeps our legislation needlessly mired
I suggest in the next election they all be fired

Barrack Obama needs our help
He can’t do this by himself
We can’t give him the task but not the tools
To sort these problems with the impedance of fools

You can hear in his voice and tell by his deeds
That he’s earnestly trying to meet Americas needs
Help him help us at a near impossible task
At restoring the rights of majority class
With a referendum in the next election
We can give our legislators direction

No one seems to understand how we got in this mess
But it was before Barak Obama got behind that desk
When Bush said "We're doing the best we can"
Everyone defends him
But Obama says the same damn thing
Oh! A socialist agenda.

I agree with you 100% rondo.

Idiots dont understand that everything in pure form is too potent including Capitalism.....Capitalism when too pure gives us things like Gulf oil spills (lack of proper regulation) a socialist tool! or bank failures (lack of regulation) or ENRON shananagons (lack of regulation) and so when republicans decree a socialist state and big government they bear false witness against the things that protect our society because it effects their profits a few hundred thousand in bribe or lobby expenses is less than milloins in safety or enviromental impact prevention....they are traitors and scum who confuse the small minded into supporting their cause with rhetoric and half truth too lazy to sort out the facts...not that they need much convencing due to their racist and religious deceptions....thanks for commenting Libby and giving me oppertunity to vent...more Very Happy

Oh my dearest buddy, if only people would LISTEN!!

“For we have a choice in this country. We can accept a politics that breeds division, and conflict, and cynicism. We can tackle race only as spectacle-as we did in the OJ trial-or in the wake of tragedy, as we did in the aftermath of Katrina-or as a fodder for the nightly news. We can play Reverend Wright's sermons on every channel, every day and talk about them from now until the election, and make the only question in this campaign whether or not the American people think that I somehow believe or sympathize with his most offensive words. We can pounce on some gaffe by a Hillary supporter as evidence that she's playing the race card, or we can speculate on whether white men will all flock to John McCain the general election regardless of his policies.

We can do that. But if we do, I can tell you that in the next election, we'll be talking about some other distraction. And then another one. And then another one. And nothing will change.

That is one option. Or, at this moment, in this election, we can come together and say, "Not this time.” - Barak Obama

G'day Ronald...
I can't comment on US politics Ronald, but I dare say its the same here. Vested interests, lies and deceit and if you get a decent politician they get attacked for their honesty.
Well said mate

Rondo... I read this when you first posted and what really gets me is Americans don't have shit to say on GP. When I read it I noticed that you had all ready been hit by the blind rater link; which makes me think staff member. As if they have duck taped their mouths closed and have nothing to say. I guess they would rather read and comment on the pretty poetry and nothing finely written on politics that speaks the truth about this bull shit going on across this American landscape.

I really loved it when debate was hot on GP and poets had a set of balls; we need poets with big balls instead of poets like JPerry and few unnamed that I feel let theirs wither away. I guess they cannot take the truth. JPerry at one time had some big ones.

Mitt Romney is a flip flopper with big corporation's hand up his ass to keep his mouth closed (I do like it when he make a slip of the tongue and soils his Mormon underwear).

President Obama is still the man for the job in 2012.

Obama 2012.

If you think poetry sites are nasty; try living in the Dirty South seem like the Dirty South is infecting all of America... I just wonder what Florida is going to pull this time around (Blame it on Chad).

BWP... James... Keep up the battle; we stand shoulder to shoulder on the battlefield.
