Poems - An Elegant Day

An Elegant Day

The air smells so aromatic
as I meander through the woods
in a search to feel something real.
Sensations reel.
The blossoms from the locust trees
And wild cherry trees in bloom, mixes with
blooming forest flowers
intoxicates me,
makes my head spin.
I sit quietly on the log
near the bog and write.
Watching two fawns
follow their mother.
They spot me,but do not run.
A picture for me, oh what fun.
I dared not move for the camera.
I dared not move at all!
Finally, in elegance,
She started moving on,
She and her fawns.
And I knew that she was
enjoying the day, in every way
just as I was doing today.

the first word that came in to head was, quiet.
it sounds like a hound walk over on the old farm behind my house - foxy and fawn dog.
