A Fissure In The Seams Of Time

I woke up Monday, but it was Tuesday
five hours later than noon
I walked around in a daze
in a haze I saw the moon
it was too big and too close
I could see it's lakes
I could nearly touch it
but I didn't have what it takes
it seemed impossible
for me to be here
it seemed improbable
that I was anywhere near
but where would I be
if I wasn't around
people might say
that right now I'm not sound
but, I woke up trapped
in a fissure in time
the seams came apart
when they heard the chimes
the chimes of cracks in time
I'll wake up tomorrow
in a fissure more to my liking
not alone and filled with sorrow

oh how I can relate to this well versed tome! sometimes I wake up and someone has moved the light switches from side to the other and changed the way the faucets turn on the sink and... well, you understand I know!
