THE MINDS GARDEN

by dav.smith

With-in the garden of my mind, I plant the seeds
which will grow to become
the friends and family that I so desire
But i know that there will be those
that will turn to unwanted weeds
and amongst the blooms of close friends and family
I leave them be, reminding me of the preciousness
of the flowers I pick to have with me.

what a wonderful way to look at relationships. yes some flower and bloom into beautiful gardens while others just don't take seed or if they do don't flourish. you did a great job on this one.

Thank you Bonnie, The problem with pulling out the old weeds is that new ones tend to take their place. Hugs from a far. dAVE

excellently symbolic dave. very much enjoyed. the problem with weeding out minds, is that you never know who someone calls a weed might become an orchid in the end.....sortta like the ugly duckling story. many gardens in the mind. some filled with spring flowers.....some fillrd wih spiky brambles - paul and floppy garden hound.

Very true Paul. What we call a weed here is not always a weed over your place. I agree with it being similar to the ugly duck story too. Glad your hound dog enjoys the outdoors. Peace dAVE

I like the garden idea. Maybe i'll change to that from my present computer analogy. Well-expressed poem. Rabbitt

G'day Dave...
Good lines to think about with a comparison. Thankfully in weeds and families there is diversity.
Thanks mate

Oh.. if there were no weeds...the preciousness of flowers would be lost.
How wisely and beautifully said!
warm wishes,

True D, We need the weeds as much as we need the blossoms. Balance is a good thing. Hugs dAVE
