in your head &
your heart,
so that it never stops
pouring
out
o
p
i
n
i
o
n
s &
thoughts &
all the things that make you
tick---
regardless of the voices outside
that want you to turn it off,
regardless of the voices outside
that want you to do what you’re told &
most importantly,
the voice inside that was created by the ones
around you,
before you even had a chance to express yourself
in a way that others would understand,
for that time has long passed &
NOW
is when you’re alive!
NOW
is what matters!
NOW
you can make a difference with the words, thoughts & deeds
at your disposal!
SO
NEVER
STOP
THE
FLOW.

A poem about writing and expression itself with a generous dash of carpe diem by the end. Aspects of concrete poetry in the vertical pouring of the word "opinions," which can be enjoyably misread as "potions" or "poisons." A solid effort.
