True Self [Part 02 - Learning Life]

And then when knowledge began,
Knowledge flowed in from anywhere.
Knowledge growing, curiosity ran
Collecting notions hosted out there
Building foundations for comparison
The way of thinking in unison

How puzzling all seemed, strange
Scarring chaos, many things in disarray
I am unknown amid experience's exchange
Everything is new, what is a minute or a day.
The first sounds, screeching noises
Deeply cutting noises, they called voices
My first impression, a moving figure, called body,
Appendages holding me securely called mommy.

Soon, it came, awareness of what’s a form,
Awareness of noises and perturbing sounds,
What I was is still unknown, what was the norm?
Beyond, clustered space where experience abounds
Sensations, understanding of hardness and softness,
Heat and cold, sweetness and sourness
All coming to me, together, in a hurry
Only sensations, perceptions in a flurry
But I do not know who I might be
Not yet; all is just what I feel and see.
