maybe the witch was wrong!

maybe the witch was wrong!

when my Grandmother gave birth
both my Mom and I were born
an egg in Mom's tiny girth
from the time her cord was torn

really older than I look
or maybe not eggsactly
other half still on the hook
till things were satisfactory

likewise, by the same token
I watched the ages go by
since God's word was first spoken-
I was a tear in God's eye

an egg in God's womb was I
so, that makes me very old-
now why would a white witch sigh
and call me such a young soul?

did she study me someplace
and decide I was an a-soul
with broken eggs on my face-
before I got old and whole?

maybe the witch was wrong!

this started off a great piece and then the doobie kicked in and out of nowhere came a witch and i still dont exactly know what I read so ....but I loved the play on words and half a great poem is better than the crap I'm reading from our peers...so big ten stars for you Very Happy
