A Sons Feelings for His mother

At times when my life has been dark
the only light I saw was your guidance
as if I were a ship.

At times when I thought I knew
it all you were the net to
catch me upon my fall.

When my pain was too much
for me to bear you picked me
up and carried me and my despair.

When I could not find a friend
And I hated myself
you were mine through the thick and the thin.

No burden was too tough for you
I know it sounds trite
But Mom I Love You.
