Mrs. President and the 1st Gentleman

by rondo

Mrs. President and the 1st Gentleman

We need an age of femininity
Men have fucked things up enough
With greed and war o plenty
It is clear we play way too rough

Diplomacy would be a whole lot better
With a kinder gentler tone
the ecology would be a whole lot cleaner
If we ran our country more like a home
Budgets might be better balanced
If we cashed in on shopping talents

Color coordinated jets and bombers
Accessories that best be left at home
Rather than putting offspring into harm’s way
Instead they might just send drones

You think I jest….I kid you not
We need more of what women got
Should we give women more control?
We might just get out of this hole

It might be better if we let her
Take the wheel and drive awhile
Mrs. President and her gentleman first
Certainly couldn’t do much worse

Rondo, We put a woman in charge over here and now we sit in deeper doo doo. No offense to the women that can run a house or business, but if you put one in to run a country make sure she is qualified, Unlike the one over here. Hope you have a grand week end my friend. dAVE

I have often stated that almost all of the unrest in this world is caused by men. That being said..I remain neutral on gender when I vote, and just try to determine who is most qualified for the position. I would welcome a viable woman candidate for president.

This is a thought provoking poem. Thanks for sharing it.

since the beginning they have struggled and died alongside men in this great effort ...if we truly agree with equality it is a logical step....thanks for your very mature insights on the subject great one..peace

You have a good point; I was for John Edwards first in 2008; what a mess that turned out to be; selling one thing and following another. Then I was for Hillary and I still think she would make a great president. Then President Obama pulled out in the lead and got the nomination and from then on for me I only had one choice. It damn sure was not the GOP John McCain and that Alaskan lack of femininity Bitch he picked for a running mate. As with any gender like Hugh said I vote for the one I think will do the best job.

You may ask why I picked John Edwards and Hillary over President Obama at the time. Well it comes down to the fear I had for the safety for a black President and his family. I guess it comes from living around racism all my life to the point I have become a recluse and feel most white are racist. The election proved me wrong about most whites in the nation as a whole; but I live in the dirty south and there still has not been a time that I have not had fear for the safety for the President and the First Family.

Just a few months ago I stopped by a house down the road from me; where an elderly racist told me that President Obama is a very smart man and I did not know where he was coming from; the he said if he had not picked Joe Biden he would have already had a bullet in him. That is the crap I have to live around and I arm myself against racist like that; I myself live in fear of such idiots that pass their poison to their children. As you know I was raised in a racist family and because of that and to look good in the eyes of my parents I shot a school bus with black children on it at the age of twelve. The bus driver must have thought it was a rock; being that the gun was a 22 rifle and the ammo was 22 shorts. All of these years I am still thankful I did not hurt anyone; I may have been a different person today.

And right now it is still President Obama 2012.
