Poems - A Song for Pyramids
| | A Song for Pyramidsby FuchsiaFestival!
i.
Pyramids stood on one leg
three sides falling inward.
Crushing sandstone bones
with limestone thrusts.
Three sides, three visions,
three emotions fogged in
helium rays. A sun setting
on the shoulders of basalt.
ii.
Pyramids stand on one foot.
Lifelike triangles staring
at the Nile, facing the
vows of Memphis.
Why don't they collapse
on a cold Egyptian day
where the pharaohs walked
and bred their Khufu smiles?

Aloha Sammi... vivid and colourful you are with this little mind twist and thought simulator... "pyramids stood on one leg"... some image to paint the end of time with...I wonder of the "fourth side"of these monuments?... what jewel of the "Nile" will come forward through your wonderful mind and to your pen to paint that picture?... great stuff once again young poetess... should I retain any of my sharpness in the coming days and weeks I may well try to elaborate upon your presentation of the feast for thought within these words... all of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michael.

In this they come alive in the distance - an eerie balancing act performed between life and death. Love the sense of weightlessness achieved... Cheers, my friend - Mary Ann

Yes, intuitively, that is correct. between life and death could be the attachment between how objects resist a lot of strenuous triggers and the way we perceive them. Thanks, I appreciate this. They are very alive. And it's because we want them to live.
