Simmering discontent

Bubbling beneath the surface
of apparent peace,
lies the grotesque reality
of the truth of disgruntlement

Hot air rises
and eventually builds up
near the top
where
something’s got to give…

Something’s got to give…

Something’s got to live.

The rumours and lies lay foundation
the backstabbing and bitching the poles
The smirks and disdained fake elation
making room for the mortar and holes

The slow rumble begins
as the people congregate
For when truth is numbed
then the truth will conquer hate

But for the simmering to be
enticing and powerful for me
The bomb must go
The truth to know
And with new eyes all will see.
