In a dream

I met a maiden in a dream
but I can’t recall her face
Just her laughter and her words
before a sweet embrace
She did not crave for tarnished gold
as it would soil her emerald tress
And the blood that run from many a gem
would paint a scarlet dress

And in this dream she came to me
as beauty should be bore
As turning seasons came and went
I walk her coloured shores
We touched but once within a
moment, then the light took love away
And I counted passing moments, and
the footsteps of the day
