Kittens first day out

It’s the kittens first day out
I hope she’s coming back
She knows her home and family
And got a lovely new cat flap

It’s the kittens first day out
She’s been dreaming at the window
Spayed and jabbed and fresh to go
I hope you like my jingle?

It’s the kittens first day out
Just in case I said goodbye
But you have to let them go at times
Even when it makes you cry

It’s the kittens first day out
She will be playing with the cars
I hope she gets a near miss
That I don’t see, and leaves no scars

It’s the kittens first day out
I hope a lesson she will learn
Not to be a flattened cat
Squished and tyre burnt

It’s the kittens first day out
She will learn to poop outside
No more gravely trays to flick
That smell just drives me wild

It’s the kittens first day out
And now its half passed ten
The light is fading gruesomely
Hope she aint ended in the pen

It’s the kittens first day out
Now I’m thinking she is dead
Midnight passes, I can’t sleep
I recon she’s found a bed

It’s the kittens first day out
I’m laying in my bed
My mind is going crazy
The heart is full of dread

It was the kittens first day out
Then I heard a flippy flap
She strolled back in resplendently
And jumped upon my lap

It was the kittens first day out
I knew she would come back
She’s had a tin of tuna now
And sleeping on my lap

It's always hard when a loved one goes out for the first time. I enjoyed your light hearted fun poem...and I'm pleased your kitten bring home a woodpecker for you.
