Bereavement

You cry in the night
Bereavement does that
Time once again to dig out your funeral hat
A long morning ahead
They’ll be plenty of tears
And to stand in a queue with others in black.

You’ll still cry in the night
After it’s all done and dusted
And a long time ahead
Even when the brass handles
On the casket have rusted
But that’s good.

This is a good short poem. Line 4 seems like a play on words...subbed "mourning" and it worked too.
