Poems - death .

death .

Moving into a different light .
Death is a mere transition.
But we mourn and grieve.
As would be our condition .

I think in my utopian mind .
Our step towards the grave .
Was once a part of why we lived .
That has now been erased .

Who teaches us the art of dying .
Should we have that choice .
Instead we have a round us all .
Some shrieking banshees voice .

Is death to us a realm unknown .
Or is it subconsciously very clear .
Can some of us in this light
Remove the veil and peer .

Switch the dial draw the curtain.
Open that spiritual door .
And as it happens to everyone .
I really should know more .

So all I can do in human time .
Is gather the goodness I feel .
Forgive and understand my fellows .
But my spirit they cannot steel .

In my shell . My mortal coil .
In my coffin in my suit .
I am spirit light love and consciousness .
In any realm . That’s resolute .

beautifully said! to me death is just a part of life and for some reason I am not afraid. it seems so much more peaceful and nothing to fear. when i die i keep telling people don't cry and mourn and feel sorry for yourselves that i am gone, for that really is why people cry. but to say finally she is resting. lol!
