Inner City Sages

Inner City sages help the youth to turn pages
Past difficult stages by calming storm rages
Centering minds where loud noises sleep
With new words of wisdom for fresh minds to peep
Get their minds all off the grief and concrete
Show them foundations placed under their feet
"Check it- young brah, I came from deese streets,
"And I still flipped dem bills cause my mind's doin' feats,
"It's cool to make beats, or wear football cleats,
"But witout yo soulforce, you fasho gonn' get beat!!"
And watch the bewildered look as they learn
Its not what they wear, but things that they've earned
And after the years you'll see the results
More of a rare kind, Inner City Adults

    Thank You so very much. In today's society, we most certainly do. Far too much "coolness" and"teenagerism" being promoted by so called "adults"
    over true life skills. Glad to see someone agrees.
