Don't Sing Songs of Love

Don't sing to me songs of love
don't say words like forever
I won't know what you speak of
guess I'm not that clever.

Just tell me that I'm pretty
when in my bed you lay
I don't need your pity
so be careful what you say.

Just whisper sweet things in my ear
as my body you do use
don't call me darling or your dear
just walk out when you choose.

This way you won't break my heart
like so many did before
we'll both understand from the start
you'll be walking out the door.

Don't sing to me songs of love
don't say words like forever
I won't know what you speak of
guess I'm not that clever.
