Lovers On Corners

Icicles and popsicles and cold winter days
lovers on corners in summers hot haze
skate through the back streets of my mind
don't know what I'm seeking or what I will find.

Monkeys in treetops swing on the vines
children are taught to color inside the lines
but rainbows often the colors will blend
who found the pot of gold at the end?

Nonsense and incense fill up the room
in early spring the flowers will bloom
then die in the cold of winters snow
what I am saying I really don't know.

My mind is all fuzzy and cluttered
with all the lies your lips have muttered
so I like in this bed of confusion
I think all my life was one big delusion.

I live in a world of both good and bad
but these scenes always make me feel sad

beautiful images, all i can think about is my crazy high school love, of good and bad contradictions and knowing something is a lie but loving it anyway, being totally in love to the point of confusion.
