Poems - Heartbreak

Heartbreak

it was something special cause she was running and couldnt escape,
my mind, shes all I was thinking of throughout the day
I climbed, higher, when she was by my side
I shined, brighter, when she was a presence in my life,
what I least expected from her was to just walk away,
As I sit down now, I just cant bear the pain,
Its frustrating, So I start lifting weights,
lift til my body is completely drained,
I dont get sleepy now… as I go to lay,
Instead, reminiscing the past and how she never explained,
what I did for her, to just leave me in vain,
What I did for her, to just walk right out the gate
Now Its tough to move on when your caught in rage
It feels like Im about to go fuckin insane
Memories from the past just keep on playing
Its like a never ending train caught in my brain
It’s a real shame, that it caused me to change
My ways, and how I go about my day
Appreciating nothing, coming towards my way
I constantly stay in a state of hate.

I could feel the pain in each line and verse. read like a song in parts the rhythm flowed so smoothly.
