G-O-D Group Of Drunks
that's what you might be told
if your belief has shrunk,
have none or it's grown cold

but your god can't be you
you've been disqualified
by too much "mountain dew"
divine got ossified

your brains are partly fried
your spirit may be numb-
you can't be deified
because you're too god dumb

but stay "dumb" together
you are bound to become
much wiser than ever
no longer be so glum

stop running with the brutes
become a tree instead
osmosify some roots
to nourish heart and head

capillary ideas
climb the willing xylem
push away doubt and fears
keep you from asylum

one ordinary day
as you join hands around,
serenity to pray,
your heart may start to pound

probably won't happen
but you might feel a jolt
your hand gets a zapping
and you just want to bolt

keep coming for a while
may not happen at all
but you'll change your life style
and never have to fall

you'll find higher power
through your inner guidance
open like a flower
open to provide-ance
