I fear the sight of a tumbling city

I fear the sight of a tumbling city
That soon may become of our own
For the hands of hate will have no pity
On these men of late we have known

The holy war they say its their way
To kill westerners and all what's civilized
With bombs they come while Christians pray
And human beings are torn before our eyes

Many speak of some political sects
While some say they are religious groups
But the lots of deaths are religious subjects
From churches razed down in their troops

The world is watching from a distance
As this rumble becomes a brawl
But a wound not treated infects for instance
And the body suffers as a whole

Such a great pity to see the world kept at bay as once again a tyrant fiddles as his people pay. What a topsy-turvy world we're living in... it has become almost too terribly painful to watch. Especially love that first stanza, my friend - truly a poignant poem. Best wishes, Mary Ann

Yes ossy, but why is there so much killing, hate and destruction. Is humanity in plague! Is it natures way of controlling population explosions. We need to show tolerance, but most of all we need to be educated, but of course a tyrant detests education.

    Dear Lindsay, we probe by the day for answers to what you just asked and I find it more difficult to understand why our hearts are so incomparably different; when we feel pain others feel none, when we cry others never have known tears and when we are happy, they could only rejoice in stealing it away yet it was found fit from the beginning to let such people so different in everywhere live with humans with heart of evil.
    Presently in my country, suicide bombing and reckless slaughtering of human beings mostly Christians have become the order of the day.
    Some Muslim sect said they want out from every western influence and so they resolved killing Christians until the government isolates them or stop them. Its just terrible and I hope God is seeing all these.
