FRIEND

FRIEND

I have walked through the fires of hell
And been tried and tested by life and love
My body and mind has been beat down
And trampled on by many

But through it all

When my strength was measured by a single thread
My breath all but gone
One ray of light shone
Like a beacon to a safer world
You stood close enough to grab me
If I required it, you gave me moral strength
Although I walked this road alone, I was not
For my shadow carried yours
Thank you Friend for being there
As I learnt my lesson of life

Awe!! What a great write. Great tritbute for a special friend. I have found that, true friends are not in front of you, behind you, but right next to you. Holding your hand and hugging your heart with theirs. Very Happy
