Poems - the wild ones

the wild ones

the wild ones

oooh-aaah, broken china
stabbing my toes and heels
gotta leave this diner
to those who eat such meals

they drop in and break things
fight among each other
scoff up whatever flings
steal from closest brother

Hell's Angels on the wing
they grab my lobster roll
and I can't do a thing
just continue my stroll

I step in wet play dough
and walk a mile or two
watch where the raiders go
leaving behind a few

I return through powder
enjoy the ocean view
thinking white clam chowder
and a clam cake or two

after my journey ends
and once more on my way
I miss my new made friends
who helped me spend my day
