Today I Found A Friend

Today I found a friend
who knew everything I felt,
a friend who knew my weakness
and problems I've been dealt.

This friend understood my wonder
and listened to my dreams,
who listened as to how I felt about life and love
and knew what it all means.

Not once did the friend interrupt me
or tell me I was wrong,
and understood what I was going through
and promised to stay long.

I reached out to this friend
to show that I really do care,
to pull her close and let her know
how much I needed a friend here.

I went to hold her hand
to pull her nearer to me,
then I realized this perfect friend I found
was nothing but a mirror......

nice poem good rhymes and just as im thinking that a good friend tells you when your wrong you explained what was obvious.....good work poet....your poems get continually better Very Happy
