Harry and me

One night we played poker
Harry and me
Drank whisky and
smoked cigars
Listened to smooth James Taylor
Shared stories of
women and wine
Swore at God,
Not any God though
Heads on table
Sunrise at 6AM

When Harry left
That's when I put
the gun to me head,
The gun to me head
Blowing my brains out

I met Harry again
Twenty five years later
In a little town they call "Hell'
And we played poker again
Drank and smoked
Until sunrise
And until the
tears flowed again
The tears flowed again

I am sleeping now
Harry too,
The poker over
Just for the night
