constantly

by doNotcallmeJan

my life has been
and is
constantly exploding
memories
of being held
by loving enemies
often and long
failing escapes
and unrelenting
responsibilities
unsolvable quandaries
and you can't touch me
you barely even hear me
or anyone else
consumed by the noise
of roaring reality
and your constantly
exploding memories

I can really relate to this. I can't even count the times a woman has said they loved me, but few wanted me for who I am, my personality or mind. I do listen, I consider myself a good guy, but, it never seems enough. I love the flow of this poem, some great lines. I feel for you, life can be a real bind at times. thanx for sharing. A 10 and a heart. best wishes. Pete.

Sometimes it is really difficult to tell what
true motivations are behind the words people say. I bet some of them loved you. You seem lovable. Smile This is a crazy world we live in and much of it is confusing.

special points of this poem are :
its enjambed and unobstructed flow,
its single thought-strain,
... and ...the phrases like " loving enemies "
and the last lines:you barely even hear me
or anyone else
consumed by the noise
of roaring reality
and your constantly
exploding memories
